Lightweight flywheel
Lightweight flywheel
Im in the process of getting ready to purchase a new clutch. Im leaning mostly towards the clutchmasters stage 4. My question to everyone is with the lnf, is it a good and benefecial decision to purchase the lightweight flywheel along with it. For this will be a daily driven car as well see track time on numerous occasions. Thanks
The lightweight flywheel tends to make it harder to daily drive. If I were to do it again, I'd leave the stock flywheel on it. Lack of load with the LWFW tends to make the boost build a wee bit slower but not that much.
If >20k miles, replace the slave cyl/throwout bearing as well. Whatever clutch you pick, get one good for at least 420 ft/lbs torque on a tuned LNF. My SPEC Stage2+ /LWFW is good for 437.
I have read that the SPEC S2+ doesn't work well with the stock FW though.
