Motor mounts/transmission mounts

I've had my 2006 LS w/ 5 speed for about a month now and it seems like the mounts are either pretty shot or maybe they are always like that. It seems as if there is a lot of movement from say when you take your foot off the throttle and put it back on, as well as downshifting, it seems to jerk quite a bit. The motor seems like it has a lot of "play". It just doesn't seem to be a very smooth car at all, I have to baby it so much when driving so i don't get jerked around all the time. Is this a common thing for these cars?

yes, stiffer mounts and/or bushings will take car of that.

Where would I be able to get a hold of some of them? I'm getting pretty sick of this jerking around.

Hell yeah, I need some of these too. My car feels the exact same way.

ottp has actual mount replacements, if you're looking for a much less expensive alternative (also doesn't work as well) get the bushings from turbo tech. they still help out a good amount. also turbo tech has the top mount which is great.

We carry the upper engine mount and tranny bushings for the 2.2/2.4L @ www.TurboTechRacing.com

The OTT tranny mounts only fit the F35 tranny (2.0L), as the 2.2/2.4L mounts are different.
