Ok, my SC has around 59,000 miles, I just got a transmission replaced at 53,000 because the case broke. Brand new transmission, the old one lost 2nd gear and it was whining and chattering.

I found that I still had the rattling noise after the new gearbox was put in by my dealer, so I attributed it to the old clutch.

Recently I put the car on jackstands and tried to find where it was coming from as it was driving me nuts.. There is some play in my axles, and the sound is coming from around the driver axle seal area, maybe even the diff.

I'm about to put some new axles in...any other suggestions?
