need help

i was drivinghome from a car meet and i went into second gear and it grinded a little bit iwas like wtf then went into third fine then went into 4th and it wouldnt go in so i was like wtf again, so i called up a friend he said could be a bushing or a shift fork but i can still get it into the gears just got to pull hard. gave a friend a ride in my car and he said its most likely the shift forks.. will my car be covered under the powertrain warrenty? its a 2009 cobalt ss. car is basically stock only intake and exhaust... transmission is still stock

My guess would be the synchronizers. Although since your 2009, you are covered. Warranty that ****.

Pop the cup holders out and see if the linkage is out of place.
