Power steering

Ok folks need some help, 07 cobalt 2.2 nice car. Now and again at slow speed power steering seems to go out. With a good alignment pulls to right a bit.

I have read all the articles on R&R of motor, and battery low voltage. Car has no fault messages at all on of any of this. Not effected by the recall, or so says GM

My questions go a bit further.... Has anyone seen an improvement in the steering from replacing the motor? Car has 110k on it, battery is original I should change it just because it's old anyway.

But I wonder as the power steering motor gets older, torque loss, etc. could it affect steering that would pull?

I am a Mopar guy by trade but the little cobalt is my daughters car and runs great and all just this one little thing....
