Question about B&M shifter in 06 SS/SC

Ok, this is going to sound stupid to most people I'm sure, but I am baffled.

I bought this car a month ago and so far I've had 5 people ask me if it's lowered. I honestly have no idea, I thought that this car was completely stock; so I'll have to look into that. But thats not my question.

I am been searching around looking at all of the things I can do to this car, and I was looking into the B&M shifter, because it seems that the B&M one is more popular. So I popped onto their website, and it was then that I realized that the shifter knob in their picture is identical to the one I already have in my car. It is a black knob and it says B&M on the top. My question is, did GM sell the SS/SC (particularly the 2006 model) with the B&M shifter in it, or is this yet another mod I have discovered on my obviously used vehicle??

Thanks

Um...no...the shifter is aftermarket. Don't knock the mods on your car because you probably paid less than a non-modded car and got more...pop the hood and maybe you'll see some nice blue bolts holding your pulley to a hub and you just got a hell of an upgrade that you didn't pay a dime for.

Oh trust me, I'm not mocking them. I enjoy the shifter, it's all I know on this car. I love how the car sits as well regarding the springs.

No, it doesn't have an upgraded pulley or hub, or the torque dampener that I plan on getting either.
Thanks for the reply

If you can fit 4 fingers in the back of your car it doesnt have any springs.
