So drag racing this weekend . I couldn't find 1st or 3rd gear it just stopped working. So we ripped it apart and adjusted the linkage now all gears work but its like squished together my 1st and 2nd are normal 5th is where 3rd was and reverse is hard to get into. Don't call me crazy this is real lol help

Is anything resting on the linkage? i had that problem when i changed vacuum line to account for a new intake manifold. 1st,3rd,5th didnt work. moved the vac line and it worked fine.
