replacing clutch ?'s

I am going to be replacing my clutch on my 06 lsj in the next few weeks.. I was wondering what all should be replaced when I do this? I have already have the clutch, flywheel, lnf tob/slave, flywheel bolts, and the clutch pipe. Anyone know of anything else I should be replacing.

We can get you a exedy hyper single for $999.99 which includes the flywheel :) PM us if intereted.

All items you stated should be replaced/needed.

Yep, that's everything you need! The GMPP clutch is great AFAIK. Guys run it on turbo swapped LSJ's with no problems at 400whp. :twothumbs

Yup thats all you need, when you install it make sure you get some miles on it before you try and launch or shift hard and avoid highway miles, try and use the clutch more in the city

thanks for the heads up. i broke in the exedy hypersingle thats in there at the moment. im thinking that it was the tob/slave that messed up and not the clutch. but we shall see.

Whats the clutch doing that you are replacing it?

chood711 06-22-2011 12:27 PM

Its slipping.

BartSS 06-22-2011 02:16 PM

The hypersingle is awesome and 999 is a great price on it too...

SlowCobaltSS 06-22-2011 08:59 PM

Is it slipping all the time or only when you putting it under a load

conerboner 06-22-2011 09:04 PM

You want some slip to take the stress off the tranny

SlowCobaltSS 06-22-2011 11:06 PM

Ummmm its weird because sometimes when I launch from a signal light at 1300 to 1500 rpms or sometimes when I shift into second gear my clutch slips so I need to completely let off on it and wait about a second or two and get back into it,its not all the time tho I have heard from some people that its doing it because it has a elect throttle body

stealthy1ss 06-22-2011 11:12 PM

Here is the Exedy part number for the Hypersingle rebuild kit. CH21S

chood711 06-22-2011 11:24 PM

I can hammer the shit out of it in 1st and 2nd. When im in any other gear i can barely accelerate and it slips. Or if i put just a hair of pressure the pedal it disengages the clutch completely
