Reverse Gear

Hi, I'm having trouble getting my 2010 SS into reverse especially when it's very cold out. I've tried adjusting the cable underneath the cup holders but sometimes it just won't go in. Is there anything else to check or try? Even when the temperature is mild it still seems far to difficult and should not be that hard.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this are greatly appreciated!

I do 5th then reverse in every manual car. Even the new Camaro will grind sometimes if you don't do it.

The Cobalt I noticed the clutch sometimes doesnt fully release until it warms up. 5th then R slows the gears down enough so it'll go in.

Check trans fluid too.
