i did some searching but couldn't find anything quick so i thought i would ask.

Has anyone else encountered problems with their shift lever not returning to center neutral on it's own. and if so any recommendations on how to fix

There's probably a weak or broken spring in the shifter assembly. This is bolted to the top of the transmission where the shifter cables hook up.

I've never replaced one myself... and I've really no clue how hard it'd be.

does it go into every gear like it did stock? i bent linkage in mine 2 times well brok 1 then bent another lol but u might have done that... i would get a friend with a tc and see if u can measure the distance between the plastic piece the linkage goes into on the shifter and the threads on the cable if its not perfect it will shift weird or not at all or wont be in the middle lol if ur car goes into gear good and everything i wouldnt worry about it being in the middle but thats just me lol
