Short Shifter

Just wondering if i put a short shifter in my SS will it mess up my warranty....i appreciate the help....

short shifter is a waste of money i have a hurst and the throw isnt much shorter and its a bitch gettin usta where 5th is at i'd stay stock its not like ur a drag strip car to where a short shifter is life or death... just my 2 cents

I dont agree, I have a Hurst and i love it, take the time and adjust it right and u will find out its 100% better than the stocker.

yea my B&M is tough sometimes to get from 1st to 2nd if u do it fast but all the other gears are awesome

i love the way my b&m is. you can never have a warranty completely voided. if you do the short shifter, you will lose warranty on the whole shifter assembly and probably the cables since you have to mess with them to install it.

Yea, that might mess with the warranty, I bet if you had tranny problems, completely unrelated to the shifter I bet a dealer would blame it on the shifter.

if you're having trouble shifting or it doesn't feel right... sorry but it's your own fault..you didn't fully install it right so ti's not adjusted correctly.. i've felt m friends B&M and his feels smoother of a shift then my ebay one but he took like a hour or so to adjust it correctly where as i just threw everything in there. take the time to adjust it right and you wont have shifting problems or any clunkiness.. and on my ion it shortened the shift distance by about 3" which is bitching to me

Gm does not sell the Hurst shifter, crate engine depot does sell it as an accessory. Yes they are a Chevrolet dealer, but no other Chevy dealer will sell the Hurst shifter.
