i have a cosmo racing short throw, for it for $90 shipped with a heavy knob, i cut it down about 1.5" from stock "short throw" height
got it from: cosmoracing.com
the pics that advertise the product is my car, i feel special

i'm not sure the throw length is cut by 60% like advertised but since it's cut all i have to do it flick my wrist. alittle less everage but easy and quick to shift
highly recommended, easy enough to install, was my first mod to my car, best bang for the buck

i have a cosmo shifter, bought it back when it was only 45 shipped with the knob...here's a pic of it, nice fitment, and it comes with a non functional reverse lock out b/c the shifter is made for the cavi, but fits the balt, and the cavi had RLO...and it ownt fit the ss/sc b/c their RLO is functional

JNS is right again... if you notice he took his off completly, I took mine off and cut it in half befcause when i cut the shaft i left just enough room to fit the aluminum "reverse lock".. i wish i got it for only $45, the price doubled.
hey JN2, what type of ebrake and boot do you have? any links to whereyou bought it, I was thinking of doing this but don't want to spend $100 for a momo handle and $60 for the momo boot.

no, i can do it by just taking the center console top piece off...and my the boot is a CF boot, just like my shift boot, the handle i got on ebay its a chrome one with CF insert, not plastic of aluminum like others...

sorry but thats probably the stupidest thing ive ever seen as far as shifters.
are you aware of the mechanics of a short throw?
The short word is not for length of shift knob and shaft it's for the shorter "throws" between gears.
If you cut your stock shaft for short throws you are an idiot and probably should read a little more before your actions
cutting the shaft doesnt have anything to do with the throw reduction?... i know that short throw shifters dont mean short in length but reduced shifting distance... please explain why cutting the saft would harm any mechanics .. it still shifts the same reduction as before, it's just more a apealing to the eye and driver, it might have less leverage but why would that matter?
it has he same pivot point and everything, the shaft length shouldnt have any thingto do with the mechanics

well igot the idea on this forum, not saying that everything on this forum should be done because not everyon knows what they're talking about. there's a how to about doing this to a B&M.. seems good, yes i do like it and it didn't seem to effect any of the movement of the shifter, just alittle less leverage but easy to get used to... my ight arm is gonna be JACKED! jk its not that bad
nothing has to be cut, it's plug and play, although you will have o remove the revorse lock, just psuh out a pin and slide it off, or you can cut the locking mechanism and use the leverse lock as a boot ring, i cu tmine in half and used it as a boot ring, it adds some style to it. i put pics earlier in this thread.
