shouldn't be too difficult or that much different. give twm a call, they may be able to help you out.

thats what mine looks like more or less.
the boot fitting to the shifter is going to be trial and error for you depending on what it looks like, but usually is just a new sip tie through the loop and tightened at the top to hold it.
once you get the old boot and knob off then youll need to pull three things off.
first, there is a horizontal plastic pin that you need to push in the tabs and then push towards the drivers side. it is in the front side of the shifter and holds the white part in.
when you have that out then rotate the "O" shaped piece at the base of the shifter (holds the ball down) and use a flat tipped screw driver to push in the tabs (three of them) to get it to pop off. you will then need to pull up and towards the passenger side to pull the nub out (attatched to the side of the ball) then pull REALLY hard up to get the bottom ball to pop out.
once you have this youll need to take the plastic piece off the big ball and little side nub and transfer them to the new shifter and then reassemble backwards (dont forget the o rings)...this should do it for you!!!
let me know when you are working on it, and you need help, i have mon, tues, and wed off and illl pm you my number if you want to help with install....done this to my car twice and to a cavi

Just goto TWM site and DL there instructions for the Cobalt, follow them and you'll be golden...

I did do the cutting as per the instructions, others haven't and been ok. Guess it's personal preference

under as in when you have the whole shift assembly out, and their is one oring in the hole where you tookt he shifter out...i put a second one down there, it pushes the whole assembly up and makes a tighter fit
