Question Slow Start Issues

Got a question for you all. Just got my 06 SS/SC last month, and am now up to about 2400 commuter miles. Reading many of the posts here I have noticed people seem to be getting much better start speeds then I can manage. Reading this thread, https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/drivetrain-79/downshifting-26236/, I don't think it is even possible for me to get speeds into the 30's in first gear or high 20's for that matter. Everytime i get on the gas, the engine just screams to about 20, near redline. This happens when i start off in low RPM's and when i really get on it, doesn't matter. Second also seems really short. I really only seem to get much pick up in speed once i hit 4000 RPM's in 3rd. I noticed a decent improvement in performance and throttle response in 2nd gear after installing the K&N CAI and the Borla catback, but it still seems to be dragging. I am getting a little tired of getting blown off the line at every stop light. The car will move in 3rd-5th when the boost kicks in, but moves like a tank from 0-30. Anyone else have this issue or know of any mods I can add on that will resolve this? Is this normal or is it just mine? Thanks in advance.

06 SS/SC, 20% tint, K&N CAI, Borla Catback
