Spec Stage 2+ Clutch Question

I am interested in buying this aftermarket clutch but I have been hearing that aftermarket clutches dont work on these cars very well. Has anyone installed this clutch and had any problems. Please let me know.

Get the Spec "+" series and you will have good luck. They hold really well. Check out www.TurboTechRacing.com

No problems with my 2+ . Its the 3+ and fx300 and above clutches that are giving our cars fits .

Really? What kind of fits? I think I was one of the first with a 3+ installed almost 6 months ago. I have had no problems with it since. But my throw out bearing/hydraulic system does act weird sometimes.

There has never been any issues with any "+" series clutches by SPEC. Well that we know of.

The non "+" series tend not to hold up to the power as well. "+" series have proven well.

I havent seen or heard of any issues with the spec units.

its the CM units that are casueing issues due to fitment and hydrolic system probs.

This is part of having a performance clutch, It grabs much better than stock. It has a more in or out feeling, and will cause the car to chatter if you try to slip it as it wants to grab.

I think the Stage 2 and 2+ are Kevlar so they shouldn't chatter much if at all. Heat up a Kevlar disc too much though, and the surface won't recover. Kinda why I'm up in the air over which one to get.

Yeah, I'm 90% sure I'm going to go with a Stage 3+, Fidanza flywheel, and G85 tranny in one fell swoop during my vacation in November. 3+ is carbon/metallic full face I think. I should be able to beat the hell out of it and not have to worry about changing a clutch again. My stocker is still grabbin like a demon so hopefully it will last till November.

Maybe its just in certain ones , but I do know of a few cars with the 3+ that are having very similar fits with the clutch hydralics like the CM .

well i have the redesigned fx300 and am having ZERO problems with it. CM fixed the problem.
these cars are very hard to bleed and get all the air out, so once i broke it in (at 1200 miles on the clutch now), and all the air worked itself out, it drives great
