Question Stiff Clutch Problem

Hey Guys

Im new to the site, excellent site too, lots of great info.

Anyways i did a few searches on here and couldnt find any help so I thought id
post my question.

I have a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged and when im driving in like 2nd and
you give er all the way to the end of second and go to push in the clutch
and shift into 3rd the clutch goes really stiff and is really hard to put into gear.
After i give it a few pumps it goes back to normal.
Is this normal on our cars or do I need a new clutch

Thanks in advance

Are you losing fluid from the master cylinder and or is anything dripping under the engine where the tranny & engine join? May be a failing slave cylinder.
