TC brembos on an SC

Has anyone swapped the Brembos off of the new TC onto like an 05,06 SC yet? The brakes on my 06 are eh and my last car had Brembos on it so I want that performance back

Yea I figured the 18s would fit, but wasn't sure if the offset would be enough.

Does anyone know if it would require a full spindle swap?

I am tempted to say I'll trade you my Brembos for your stock SC brakes plus $800.

BUT... IDK if i wanna get rid of them yet... I'm sick of not being able to get slicks for the damn thing, but I don't want to get rid of the Brembos forever, because I do intend to road race later down the line...

I just hear alot of poeple say they need aftermarket rims for the SS/TC to fit over brembo's and i thought we established winter time that spacers work fine on the ss/tc to fit ss/sc rims and 2.4 rims and such. seems like that was forgotten. I have a set of 18" ss/sc rims in my room i wanna put drag tires on to take to the track. There the thin ss/sc rims though, the 05's i believe. Is it unsafe to put a small spacer on to fit over my brembos and take them to the track

Spacers are fine if you keep them under 5mm, or you get extended studs to cope for the increase. For the SC 18" wheels to fit, you need something like a 3mm spacer. Also... make sure you torque the lug nuts down good, then you'll be fine.

How big around the brakes isn't the reason you need 'bigger' rims.

It is how much width there is from the caliper to the spokes of the rim.

You should trade those wheels for the 17" ss/na rims I believe they fit over the brembo's with no spacer or a smaller one anyways and 17's are better for the strip.

QFT. The Brembo brake caliper is a wide beast and will hit the spokes of most wheels.
