total upgrade?
total upgrade?
So after the winter im thinking about doing a total upgrade on my 07 Cobalt SS/SC with a Injen CAI and im just wondering how much power increase it will give me. so heres the list....
2.79 or 2.6 pulleys
60lb injectors
pulley tentionor
Heat exchanger
meth kit
magnaflow cat-back exhaust system
headers/downpipe
A/F gauges
3 gauge piller pod
Spec 1 Clutch System
I know theres probably other supporting mods i need but those are the ones i can think of right now.

over 250 hp it's giong to be hard to make power with the stock blower. it starts getting mroe and more expensive to get small amounts of power. unless you either get nitrous, or the smart thing to do would be to save all your money, get rid of the stock blower, and either get a different super or a turbo. in the long run, you'll have more power for the same amount of money anyways.
a new blower is prolly gonna be more expensive the only one that is worth it is the TVS and its kinda of an engine destroyer. I dont know whos fault that is but id say go turbo and dont look back
i'm waiting for the winter because i dont have the time and money right now to do it, working alot of hours with the army and gas is going through the roof right now.
As for the turbo, iiunno, i may just leave it with the super i got, like i said, id rather super cuz of the whine, but i know if i want power turbo is better....can a cobalt handle twin turbo?

i would research before you decide on anything. if you don't have a plan, you're going to end up wasting alot of money. for example, suppose you do the setup in your first post. then you decide its not enough, and you want a turbo. now half the parts you bought are worthless.
i would come up with a budget, power goal, and once you know for sure what you want out of the car then you can start figuring out how to reach the goals.
