Traction Control and trans problem / question

So the T/C light came on on my girlfriends 2005 LS 2.2L automatic. And now it won't turn of at all. I think its the warning light in the console. She also says that since the light came on, the car is shifting violently.

Its a 2005 with 50,000 miles on it. Any thoughts as to what this could possible be?

happened to me a lot cause i switched to e85 and i didn't have the converter set up right. usually when the engine light pops on the TC light would pop on too, but i fixed that, but in your case, the engine could be running either too lean, or to rich.

i believe it has something to do with the shifter or the ignition. check fuses. also check the shifter. iirc the issue was something broke or wasn't right on the shifter or something under it.
