What did I break?

So tonight at the track I shifted into 4th and I heard a pop. The shifter moved up and down loosely and I was stuck in 3rd gear. I took out the cup holder and re-attached this clip to the cable and was good to go.

This ever happen to anyone?

There were little pieces of plastic under there so I’m guessing that popping it back on did not completely fix it.

Dealership will fix this under warranty?

be glad you didnt break a roll pin. Linkage clip is a relatively easy fix. if you are under the bumper-to-bumper warranty still they will fix it.

What is your rev limiter set to? Just wondering why you had to shift to 4th.

No, In order to get into the 13's you have to shift right into 4th at the end of the run (literally 50 feet before the line), otherwise you'll bounce off the limiter if you have a good run.

If you have 6500 limiter you would have to shift, but if you had 7000 or higher you would easily be able to stay in 3rd.

what isn't on backorder for our cars? Christ, go in for an oil change and they'll tell you the supercharger oil is on back order when you have the damn turbocharged engine.

I find it funny seeing my receipts from warranty work have supercharged on it and that it's a 2009 LT Supercharged.
