What did Powell send me? Front tranny mount.
Thanks guys! I hope Will gets a TC, and Sharkey how is that Meziere h/e coolant pump? Blazed a trail there; both LS1Fbody and Sharkey are loyal members of the Cobalt community...
ill add my 2 cents here about johns mounts.....
i purchased these back in 2009. i wanted a car that made power as well as handled and did its deed on a road corse. setup number one made 442whp 450ftlbs, setup 2 with a faster spooling efr made 416whp 427 ft lbs. i did these mounts paired with a spec clutch and flywheel. the mounts held up for 30k's with of hard driving and a ton of dyno passes(not that dyno passes put a ton of strain on mounts but its still something).
the mounts held up great! never once had an issue with them UNTIL my accident. most people know about it. the car suffered a blow at 80mph with a semi truck. this involved the back of the trailer hooking the front end and me having to shake the car off and then being hit again sending it into a spin. now you might as where this comes into play so here it is. after the complete tear down of the car, the upper mount mount was sheered clean off, the transmission mount attached to the frame was sheered as well. johns rear mount was still mounted to the subframe but the piece attached to the trans sheered off the transmission, the locating tab was slightly bent and johns front mount was still attached to the trans and the subframe. that was the only thing holding the engine in place.
i sent both mounts up to john for inspection. the front mount was fine but the rear mount the bushing was slighltly out of possion when you measured it. john sent me a brand new set free of charge. so if that says anything to the durability of his mounts there you have it.

I'll join in too. I've had the rotated mounts for 2 years now, one of the best things I did to the car. No more wheel hop, or elastic band feeling. Great quality parts, great customer servie, and expert advice, can't ask for more. PRS for the win!
