i wont use anything but timken bearings. they just seem to be better quality than others... but then again timken also makes bearings for other companys too.

The only wheel bearings to use are Timken, National or SKF.

Otherwise you will be doing the job again in a few months. All the no-name brands are made overseas, usually China.

For anyone that owns a TC, watch out for the Timken part numbers. They haven't updated their information and have the same part listed for the TC as they do the SC (HA590086), which is incorrect. Rather than ending up with a wrong unit again I ended up getting one from SKF, which is made in the US.

Not good.

SKF should be fine though, they are a good high quality brand.

Any idea what the differences are between the S/C and T/C wheel bearings?? Thats a strange thing to change from one model year to the next on whats essentially the same vehicle.

Well, I initially thought that the wrong bearing may have ended up in the box. But, after looking it up on AC Delco's site, they have two different parts listed for the SC and TC. As did SKF. The difference is axle diameter. The Timken I got didn't come close to going on. I probably could have figured out the right Timken part by finding other cars that share the same hub assembly as the TC, but I didn't want to deal with potentially having another wrong part. NAPA bearings look to be rebranded SKF units (same exact part number), so you can get the right part there. But, the prices listed on NAPA's site were around $70 higher than I got it for online.
