i was going to run this but ill end up running the TWM.

 

You will just have to remove the reverse lockout mechanism on the shifter for it to work in your car

 

I was looking at that same shifter for my base model. I ended up going with a Cosmo Racing short shifter that says on the page it fits Cobalts. I paid $90.50 for it with a shift knob and delivery from Canada. It will be here today so if you're not in a big rush to buy a new shifter I'll post up some pics when I get mine installed.
