Will it fit?

Which years of cobalt ss trannys are the same... mine is a 2005 ss/sc .... will 08+ fit? i ask because i am having a hard time to find one in Canada... mine made a pop last week... and now fluid is comming out somewhere between motor and trans... clutch is also slipping.. so im guessing its a hole in the case... didnt take it apart yet. any input is appreciated... anyone else ever have this trouble? its still drivable... all gears work... just fluid comming out... from somewhere.

I do believe the 08 trans will work, had a different final drive though.

Im sure someone else with a little more knowledge will chime in but to my understanding you can use the LNF tranny, it just has different gearing than the SS/SC trans.

Ps. I have a 2010 G85 trans for sale..

It will work for you. Housing, gears and everything are the same, it's just the final drive that's different. Ss/sc's have a 4.05 final drive and ss/tc's had a 3.82 final drive. So if you got an 08+ trans you just might feel like the low end isn't as good because of higher gears, other than that it would be fine
