Dyno Tomorrow

Might head to the dyno tomorrow if i can sort this small coolant leak out...not causing any issues on how the car reads but i dont want to do pulls with it leaking. Anyways here what i have. I'm hoping i hit 300+whp and 290-300trq

Harrop TVS - 80mm pulley(stock)
60lb injectors
2 step colder plugs
Injen 2.5" cold air intake
Devils Own Meth Kit. 75/25mix, 7gph nozzle, starts at 8psi...on full at 14psi
Cobalt Addiction Heat Exchanger
4 into 1 header
3" downpipe with high flow cat
3" magnaflow exhaust
Ingalls Torque Damper
Stage 2 Rotated Trans Mounts
Custom tune - 11.9afr, 25* of timing, 20psi of boost...no knock...3 pulls on the highway = 149* IAT2 (27*C weather)

sorry forgot about the thread. Unfortunely i didnt hit what i wanted. Wanted 300whp but only hit 281whp and 249trq at 7000rpm in 4th gear pulls. The power never dropped...it wanted to keep claiming but im not risking going any higher in rpms. I had the shop load the dyno graph on a usb flash drive but it got messed up so i cant post it. I know shops equipment for the AFR reads abit lean but something is abit messed up. it read what the command afr is (11.9) but then once it got to 4500rpm it went to 13.0. they said the shop reads leaning so infact it was 12.5 or around there. So iiunno whats up. But if u read any of my other posts i made last night 90% chance the cobalt is getting sold in a week or two and im buying a 370z...havent decided which version i want though. Nismo looks nice but im trying to keep the price low as possible.

Numbers are a little low but not too far off. I have been posting for nearly a year now that TVS guys won't hit over 300WHP. No one ever believes me, probably because everyone jumps in to call me a liar. Well, let me take that back, no one believes me til they dyno their car...

A: people do not run them high enough. m62 mentality
b: peoples lack of fine tuning on their ends.
c: way too big of a meth nozzle.

there have been several tvs owners hit over 300whp. i am not including myself in this.

I did 313 whp a year and half ago. This was the day after putting the blower on the car.

Might i add this was before i was a vendor, on the same dyno it did 253 whp on the m62.

why does everyone argue over dyno numbers? i've gone on two dyno's now and the numbers were off by 30whp. that leaves a HUGE difference! you guys might be on low reading dyno's or high reading dyno's.

if i posted up that my car puts down 340whp/350torque with 60's, 2.8, airbox mod, cx h/e, 75 shot, header/dp w/cat, on stock exhaust would you guys say that is right? or would you say 310whp/320torque is right?

I'll be going back to the dyno that paul ran his car on which i was putting down 334torque when my stock clutch slipped on the dyno he uses on just a 45shot, gm stg2 tune, 2.8, airbox mod, stock header/dp/exhaust, 45shot, cx h/e. i believe on that dyno with my current setup i'll put down 350+whp/360torque+. my old setup i put down 307whp/302torque with gm stg2 tune, 2.8, airbox mod, 45shot, cx h/e.

old setup on paul's dyno aka nrg tech (gm stg2 tune, 2.8, cx h/e, airbox mod, 45shot) - 307whp/302torque

new setup on ttp dyno (60's, 2.8, cx h/e, airbox mod, 75shot, header+dp w/cat) - 309whp/321torque

new setup other dyno (60's, 2.8, cx h/e, airbox mod, 75shot, header+dp w/cat) - 342whp/354torque

new setup on paul's dyno (60's, 2.8, cx h/e, airbox mod, 75shot, header+dp w/cat)- haven't gone yet

thats why a dyno is a tool. you dont bounce around but stick with one to show gains

i edited the post with details. if really need be i'll post up the graphs. i am not trying to start any fights or flame but everywhere i go it's all about whose car put down more power. not even 1/4 times anymore. just who put down bigger #'s.

even track times are hard to compare b/c of different area's around the world give different results. i was on hatrickstu's case for the longest time b/c his car can trap 113mph and my car hasn't seen traps that high and he only has 250whp. i got angry and kept callin bs on his mod's. truth is we live in two different area's. he has more track experience and supporting mod's which i do not have. footballs in springs. anti-wheel hop mod's. other things help which i have none of them. so it becomes a pissing flame fight which is pointless.

i looked at area's video of his car doing a pull from 40-110ish and it took his car 14seconds. my car from 48-124mph took about 9seconds to do that. i thought to myself how does his car have 306whp in the video and why does it take him longer. my car has about the same power and is pulling faster. in my video i only just put down 309whp/321torque on a mustang dyno and my car was pulling so much stronger or faster? i was short shifting at 6,700 rpm's and i believe he was short shifting in his video as well. why did our cars pull differently? well he is on tvs and i am on spray. plus there is a lot of other factors. i can't really figure out all of them but at the end of the day you can't tell whose car is faster and argueing over dyno numbers becomes pointless. they all read differently and whose to say whose dyno is the perfect acurate reading dyno?

i am just stating facts and please if the people i posted above do not get pissed off because i am just stating the facts.

Your right hatrick was running in very good air and in feb with cold temps so crazy things happen. My car trapped 108~110 all day on the 2.5" m62 setup but only made 253 whp while other people made 290.

At the end of the day the track is a fun place to see how good you drive and the dyno is a nice tool to montior changes to your setup.

correct. i know there is one dyno in new jersey i don't know they changed it but guys with the ss turbo with just a tune were putting down 350whp or something. no supporting mod's. everyone who dyno'd that day knew the numbers were so off compared to any other dyno. if i post up me putting down 350whp or whatever once i am all finished tuning people will say that's bs and you went to a nice reading dyno. just like everyone said that when i was on the 45shot. paul, laloosh, darksun, others came on this forum trying to back me up saying it's a normal reading or acurate dyno. after a while i realized it doesn't matter and who cares? i know if i went to ttp mustang dyno with my 45shot setup i would of only prob hit 270whp or something if i was lucky since there dyno reads low compared to most the dyno's around my area.

paul dyno'd 414whp on the dyno i put down 263whp on just gm stg2 + 2.8 + airbox mod and 307whp/302torque with a 45shot same day. are we all going to call bs to those numbers and say if paul went to a lower reading dyno he would only be at like 360whp-370whp? i don't know and to tell you the truth i don't really care. lol

it is just a number and like most knowledgeable people say it's a tuning device or to see if you've gained power on the same dyno under the same conditions.

if you lsjwannabe or stu or area or myself go around saying hahah you fail at tuning or moding your car on the same setup i put down 25whp more than you it's stupid unless you all go to the same dyno the same day then you can go get into your **** fight. otherwise it's different area's, different dyno'd, different weather, different everything. all of that plays into factor.

the end. once again this is no ****'ing fight or flame fight. these are just facts. names mentioned above do not take it personal i am not calling you out i am just stating facts on what is truth.

thank you
