EAS Dyno Day Results

Sup guys, I know this isn't supposed to go here but maybe some will enjoy. I got a stock turbo baseline to see what I can max these suckers out before I pull them out. I shocked everyone there as well as myself. I wasn't expecting the numbers I got, not even close to it.

EAS and all the crew are some of the nicest people I have met. My dyno was scheduled at 1230 and I still came at 8 just to hang out. I can't wait to do it again, this time with my single turbo

Minimal mods: BMS DCI, BMS DP, Walbro inline, JB4 e85 BB flash Map7. Full e85.

Thank you brotha!! They're not that expensive at all, I'm paying 330 a month 3k down.

Haha, it's very fast man! It will be much faster than the cobalt without a doubt. I had to dyno to get a baseline with stockers. This just came in the mail on Friday... What a beauty.

Nice numbers man!

You still have at least one thing in common with a balt. The stock turbo(s) fall on their faces after 5500rpm. The similarities pretty much end there though.. lol

Thanks brotha, and yes it's more relaxing lol. I'll be happy once I hit 600whp at like 20lbs on pump gas. Then Once Iget used to that power, I'll go up. Baby steps lol

Ct4 6465 triple ball bearing billet wheel.

For real.. mine is $300/mo with 5k down.
You're doing a custom single setup, right?

Man, I think I gotta sell my Cobb and get with a BB/JB4 stack.
No FMIC? Those numbers are crazy.

All new.. JB4 - 500, DPs - 400, DCI - 100, Cable for BB flash - $179, Not sure about the pump.

All that stuff can be had used for a lot less. JB4 goes for $375 used consistently.

Yea man, sell the cobb and you'll come up on money LOL. The only issue with BB flash is that you need a slow old version computer, they seem to work better. My HP laptop that I bought for my cobalt don't work for the 335. I had to Craigslist another laptop LOL so now I have 2 . No FMIC nothing major LOL. Yes custom single, should be out and done in a month or so, just waiting on few more parts.

Well don't forget labor on some parts. So far I put like 2k into the car with little extra stuff like trunk and bumper, shift knob, pedals etc. The fuel pump is tricky too do as well and cost $$ for labor, unless you can do it yourself. It's a better platform than the cobalt LOL. The 135 is amazing, I drove my buddies the other night and it's faster than mine cause of weight...

I'll probably sell when its actually warm enough to install the JB4. Still -10F, etc.
I think my laptop should work, since I got it setup for inpa.

Yeah 135i with no/little options would for sure be a rocket.
I got a pig with the awd system, but it still moves lol.

The N54 platform only really started making ground in like 2010-2011, so the surface is barely scratched.
Single turbo setups are only recently becoming a thing.

Hahaha yea brotha I understand how it is right now. I wouldnt mind seeing how and xi drives compared to my RWD. I spin and my ass love to come out lol it's a handful. These single kits will start having a lot of blown motors and soon more options after that!!

Probably would be hard to find an XI in Cali, haha.

I can spin tires, but I'm not sure if its because of the below freezing temps.
Ass can definitely come out, but the front wheels are soon to correct that.
I searched high and low for a RWD fully loaded, but there's none in MI.

Half this engine is forged already, so I'm interested to see what comes out as far as internal upgrades. I'll have to follow your build.

how are the reliability of the N54 motors in the 135's ?

I mean it is cheap to make power but its still a BMW when it breaks lol ... The cost to fix one compared to an LSJ would be a huge difference ... correct ?

It's the same engine in the 335 and the 535. They're not the most reliable, due to major parts like the water pump, oil filter gasket, valve cover gasket, hpfp going bad to name a few things.

HPFP is covered for 10years/120k miles, but for the other things you're gonna want to be a good DIYer or have CPO. A water pump is like ~$300ish for the part.

Just do your research. The car is an absolute blast. It just requires a lot more maintenance.
I'm pretty active on e90post, but fastgti69 prefers bimmerboost. Both forums are worth browsing around for some info.

Yea, I dont see any xi really unless its just a 328 lol. Launch must feel nice on that, at least a nice second gear pull will rip some faces off LOL. That build thread will be interesting, I can't wait either.

For now, the N54 looks to be just as reliable as the LNF. It's taking the power and not giving me any bad feedback. The only thing to look out for is what he said above^^. Just regular oil changes and follow up on the car will always yield good results.

So far the only thing to go out since I had this car is the infamous water pump and thermostat LOL. I just did that 3 weeks ago, cost me 600$ and that's all dealer wholesale price I get cause I work at a shop. Still not cheap at all but it is what it is.

Ugh, of course the water pump haha. At least you'll be set for another 70k miles. Probably won't even have the car by then.

Yea, no biggy. It's just regular **** that you gotta do. I'd rather replace that now, then have it go out when I'm on the way to a 1/2 mile air strip event etc...
