Finally got dyno'd...

Really bummed about my results. What can you do though... Made 292 whp. 331 wtq I believe. I left the sheet in my car. TheBoss had the same mods as me basically and was running 2 more psi than I was, got the same whp result.. :/

Here's some vids I recorded with my phone.

Had some bad luck on the dyno as well.. First video is of the "duck call" noise. Hahaha

Shez's Cobalt SS duck call noise

Here's a vid of my car slipping off the dyno... /facepalm

Shez's Cobalt SS slips off dyno

This was the first dyno run but I got pretty much the same results as far as whp and tq go so I'm not going to bother uploading the others.

I'm a bit surprised by those numbers as well. Could just be that dyno reading low though. I would expect closer to 320ish whp and 350tq on BYT's tune.

He would've seen lower boost if there was a boost leak. I'm thinking it's just that dyno.

You shouldn't get upset over the dyno, it's not horribly off. You should run another balt that made the numbers you expected and base it off that.

Sounds right.

I made 290whp on ZZP's dyno with my LNF on just a 22psi tune. No bolt ons.

i have the same mods you do, minus a catback and i have a zzp fmic, but for the most part were the same, and i made 330whp 340wtq on a trifecta tune and a dynojet dyno, but my buddy has the same mods as you do minus the BOV and made 282whp on the same dyno as me and trifecta tune, so idk bro maybe i got a factory freak???

Yeah, that's what I thought I'd be around too.. I'm gonna try another dyno eventually. Numbers aren't everything but I'd like to have a nice number when people ask. Haha.

Dyno numbers are over rated. Power bands are what counts. I've seen a 570whp Cobra walk a 650whp Camaro. Camaro made all of it's power from 5500-7000 red line. That's a horrible powerband to have in any kind of race.

Exactly. The power band is pretty nice on this tune. I'm happy with it. Numbers are nice to have too though. No big deal. There's a Honda tuner around here with a dynojet that I'm friends with. He said he'd strap me up for some pizza and beers. I should have new numbers by the summer.

Where did you get it dyno'd? Man if my **** slid off like that I'd be livid, scary stuff.

Can always have Nick take a look at it, could be he put down a conservative tune or something's off.

From the video it didn't sound like you built much boost at all, are you sure it's boosting 22psi? Could try tightening up the wastegate.

Everything was perfectly fine. Nick was the one driving the car! He had it hooked up to his laptop and was tuning it on the dyno. Yeah, man. I was pretty bummed it came off the dyno but there wasn't much I could do. I wasn't gonna throw a **** fit just to drive back home 2 1/2 hours. :/

So what did your car run on that dyno before it was BYT tuned?
Thats the only way to tell how much power/torque you gained from the BYT tune.
