Got my dyno done today
So, I got the baseline for the dyno today. It was done on a Mustang dyno (hence the seemingly (extremely) low numbers).
Stock HP - 219
Stock TQ – 219
Tune HP – 247
Tune TQ – 275
+28hp and +56ftlbs TQ
This is the tune I wrote myself. Not too bad IMO. My first tune, and I didn't blow it up! Lol. the numbers do seem very, VERY low, but its the difference that matters, really. I will be dynoing on this dyno for all my runs to come, so thats all that really matters.
Car is completely stock powerwise, except the tune. Can't complain as this power got me down to a 13.05, and we all know track times are all that really matters.

Yeah, the NT05's did not really help my times much, but the track was crap the last time i took her out. 60' on the 13.05 is a 2.095. I was expecting more like a 2.00 and some 12's.
Oh yes, it makes great power, as evidenced by the 1/4 miles times. Dave (the owner) said the dyno is very conservative. It scares me to think my buddy's SRT put down 460 on the same dyno... Lol.
makes me giggidy inside to get my nt05's on. maybe help with my 60'. the best run I had was 12.99 @ 111 with a 2.2 60'
. Was cold out that day, 40*, excuses aside, I need to get that 60' down.
Yeah, they sure don't last long when you take em to the track. I have 12k-13k on mine, and I have new Falken Azenis RT615's in the shed waiting to be put on. Got prolly another 1k miles on the NT05's, then they are getting burnt off.
Yeah, like I said, I saw a .02 60' decrease with the NT's, not enough to justify burning them off like that. I tried all sorts of different things with them suckers too. I would heat them alot, and it proved the same result as not heating them at all.
My track has decent prep on Saturday's. I've always liked it, it's just my 60's that need some work. Again, I've only been to the track twice since tuned and twice when stock (15 runs under my belt stock and only about 12 runs tuned)
Best run stock was 13.82 @ 104.5 with 2.21 60'
Best run tuned was 12.99 @ 111 with a 2.20 60'
Me and 2.2 60's love each other.

It does make a difference at the track, but I don't NLS tuned (hit and miss with our tranny's). I'm bolted (dp, cp, airbox mod at time of 12.9 run) and tuned by Nick. Best trap I had was 113, would be higher with a lower 60' and if I didn't care about my tranny.
That was on stock conti's.
