K&n Ftw

Well here is my video of my dyno today on a hot 91 degree day. All I have is the K&N intake on my2.4L 08 sport. Enjoy the video I will have my sheet up in a few hours I need to head home to my scanner.

This was on the same dyno as my stock pulls
Both times 4th gear was used.
Only change was the K&N SRI
no tune
fresh Royal Purple 5w-30 was in the engine
just cleaned filter.
stock dyno (70 degrees 31% humidity)
K&N dyno (90 degress 17% humidity)

Three Pulls on K&N

Comparison to stock dyno

nope just the K&N I made 159whp last year and I made 171whp this year. The only "power" mods are the K&N and Royal Purple 5w-30

not to burst your bubble, but that last dyno sounds about right...although, they were probably 3rd gear dynos...so that would make it read a little bit higher power than it actually is

either way, nice car man

still a 12 whp gain over stock, WITHOUT a tune! im wondering what kinda numbers ill be putting down now since i got a catback and my sri is also fed by a hoodscoop, even tho that would only help when at speed

very nice. Do you have the full CAI on or just the short ram? I think the short ram gives better air flow from the front of your hood because of our stupid mud guard underneath the car.

Very nice. Hopefully I'm running around at least 170whp then with an Injen intake w/ K&N filter + Megan exhaust.

I've always wondered if you could run piping from the foglight hole to where the filter sits for the CAI setup...

I'm sure you can but It would look dumb only having 1 fog light... Gains are also probably not worth the money.

you would get some top end but nothing major unless the tubing smooth and large.

well then we know where the problem is then if you make less. I made my pulls on a 90 degree day so you can't use weather as an excuse. But I really don't think tuning has helped to many NA guys on here. I know the power band it self has probably gotten fatter but the overall power hasn't gone up much.

thanks, I am just happy to see such a large improvement. Now people have a true guide to that the K&N intake gives them on the 2.4L
