07 cobalt harness
Im sorry to make a thread about a topic that has been discussed so much, but no threads that ive seen have a clear answer. My question is, which harness is the correct harness for an 07 cobalt, i want the one that keeps the chimes. and also where do i get it.
will the metra 70-2103 work? the picture of it on installer.com dosnt look quite right but maybe im wrong

yea its rediculous, every 07 harness i find says its for the pioneer system, and every other one is for 05 or 06. Im sure there has to be somebody that has an 07 with an aftermarket headunit. At this point i dont care about the chimes either.

you have to buy the expensive harness for the stereo to work, its the samw for the 7 speaker and the 4 speaker system. i dont know the product number, but it is the 100$ + one. i just ran new speaker wires and power wires, bypassing my stock system, but it is alot of work and some people dont prefer doing it this way.

Are you talking about the gmos lan 04 or is it the gmos lan 03, im worried about getting the wrong one. the metra site says the 03 one but people on here say the 04 one.

Peripheral Electronics.com have the GMCOL11 or if you have Onstar GMAHLAN11 here is the application guide http://peripheralelectronics.com/tec...Add-A-Head.pdf and if you use this everything will keep working fine

Hey Dispute, i currently have a pioneer deck installed in my car.. I used the the basic wiring harness that was made for the G5 and the 06 cobalt, i believe... and i lost ALL my chimes... every last one of them. But yeah, scosche.com has that lan harness... its hella expensive. I bought an interface on ebay for $12, i got lucky, it usually goes for about $160... LOL I dont know if itl work on my balt though cuz its not the car... its actually for GM vehicles such as the cavelier. I havent installed it yet but once i get my new sony deck in, ima tinker with it and see if itl work... if it doesnt, oh well, whatever. I believe circuit city carries the updated harness for the G5 that allows u to keep the chimes... not 100% though.
