07 H/U in an 06?

Would it be possible to install the 2007 Cobalt head unit into my 2006?

And if you can, is it even possible to get a 2007 H/U?

(I just want the ipod jack, since i'm not sure if I want iTrip)

According to my dealership, it isn't possible. I asked about switching it into my car becasue I wanted the 6 in-dash cd changer, but they said it wouldn't work.

I have all the wiring sorted out . According to the wiring skematics for the 05-06 to the 2007 , it WILL work . You do have to use the new style connectors though , so you cant just plug it in .

I bought a 6-disc 2007 head unit today , just waiting for it to be shipped . I will know within a week or 2 of this will work . If it does I will have a How to thread on what ya gotta do . I still dont know how Im gonna convert the 05-06 antenna to the 07 coaxial cable antenna .
