DUDE why an Alpine sub... everyone who knows car audio will point you to a JL w7 (10 should be more than enough...)

You will not regret any w7, I guarentee it.

I had one of those a few years back. For a cheap sub... can't really be beat.

However, for any 'regular' priced sub, like I said dude, JL. Seriously. Ask audiophiles. w7. /thread.

i can get a DD 8 louder then your alpine 10 or 12... possibly an RE 8 as well. Either way if you looking at a 10 or 12 in the same sub the 12 should always be louder ASSUMING the rest of the install is the same. honestly alot of it has to do with the install (box and wire size mean so much yet people always ignore them)

I have always been told it depends on the music you listen to. If its more rap, then get a 12 for the deeper bass. But if you listen to more Rock, then you could go with the 10's for a quicker hit response from the sub.
