2ohm vs 4ohm?

If I run 2 single voice coil 4ohm subs off a mono amp (in parallel) this should give me a 2ohm load.
If the Subs are JL 10w3v3-4's and the amp is a JBL 600.1 II regardless of how much power I have it put out, will I fry the subs just based on the fact that I'm running them at 2ohms?

No you wont.
Each sub is capable of handling 500W, and the amp is only capable of 600W. This means that each sub will receive 300W.
Make sure to set your gains correctly!!!! so that you won't run your amp into clipping that could potentially damage your subs.
