Alarm Reviews

I would like to get a remote start/alarm for my 09 5spd. I have heard of some where there is an activation procedure before you exit the car. I would what one like that so that it can't be started in gear. I would also like a 2-way remote. I've already asked most of my local shops and no one will install a remote start on a standard. I would have a shop instal the alarm and then i would wire up the starter. So easy installation would be a plus. What starters meet these requirements?

Thanks

Compustar
Do yourself a favour and get the Pro model so it will take the Blade modules, which plug directly into the brain and are self learning.
The song and dance you have to do to get the alarm to go into reservation mode so you can remote start in it is
1-put it in N
2-pull up the ebrake
3-take your foot off the brake
4-tun the ignition off
Now when you tun the car off, it will stay running, open the door get out and close the door. Once the door closes the car shuts off the doors lock and the alarm arms it self.
By leaving the car running until you close the door the alarm can be sure you didn't leave it in gear

Clifford 50.7 or the 3.3 would be a great option aswell, great tech support to help if you install if you wanted to. Favorite feature to have would be turbo timer built in.

Oh yeah and to add the 50.7 and 3.3 are able to be installed by install shops because of the fail safe like compustar it has to be in neutral.

Its not so much the alarm as it is the modules that are compatible with cars.
Like I said the pro models that take the blade modules and are a sure thing to adapt to the cobalts.
Trust me I had issues with the Idata Link and the Fortin modules with regards to the remote start, once the blade went in it work first time and has not given me an issue since.

I forgot to look but if your car is a 2005 or 2006 its a lot easier, anything 2007 and up doesn't seem to want to integrate as easy
