alpine headunit help

alpine headunit help

i just ordered this headunit

heres the stats:

Now i have a subwoofer and amp but this unit does not have the subwoofer preamp outputs. does that mean i cant use my sub with this headunit?

no you're fine. when it says subwoofer preamp, it just means low frequency outputs, not mayne headunits at all have them, but down where it says preamp outputs:2, use those, just run the rcas from there to your amp and turn the switch on your amp to only let the low frequencies through. very common.

Exactly what he said.

Usually head units run Active tuning when they have the 3 outputs like :Front: :Rear: :Sub:

This allows the listener to adjust the seperation or sorting of sound freq.

With your headunit the one will be enough to send the signal to the amp and the low pass on the amp should filter out any harmful frequncies to the sub.

normally the rear is switchable from rear to sub... either way would work thou
