amplifying door speakers

amplifying door speakers

can i run a separate amplifier to power my door speakers (not OEM, i've replaced them with RF punch series) off of the stock headunit? i've never powered door speakers before, so i dont even know where to begin

The answer is yes. The only problem is that the stock radio doesnt have rca outputs. Therefore you will need a line output converter to accomplish this. Here is an example of what I am talking about. Let me know if you need anymore info

so from the headunit, i'd splice the speaker wires for right and left (front i'm assuming) and run the rca to the amp for the signal.. from the amp i'd run speaker wire to each door speaker?
