Antenna cable!!!

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, I've been researching and can't come up with the answer. I'm trying to take the antenna wire off of the bracket, to install my new bracket. I can't pull it out! I read on here or on another forum that the antenna has 3 "wings" that hold it in place. This makes sense because I can rotate the wire in the bracket. But when i pull on it as hard as I can, it won't come out. Has anyone taken the antenna wire out of their antenna bracket??

Yes, you just have to really muscle it and pull. It's the only way. I had to do this when I fucked up my bracket trying to take off the stock antenna for a short, and ended up having to replace the whole thing.

There are no fins. It's almost like the cable is glued into the port.

But it spins freely, very easily actually. It just won't come out. I'm afraid to yank on it. :/

I can't recall if mine did that or not.. But anyways, to disconnect that cable I did just muscle it off and it was fine.

I yanked it out this morning. There were three fish hooks in the antenna that were sprung out that make it difficult. or anyone else having issue, just grab the crimp with wires and pull.. Kinda sucks because reception is still bad after installing a new bracket, thinking it was a ground or something.

Okay, I didn't remember the hooks.

Maybe its your antenna itself?

Where's the midway? I heard it was on the side panel of the passenger door. Is this true?
