Not bad at all for what the system is. Seems like there could be another 2-3db there though with that setup... April 6th is my first in this car, so hoefully will have everything ready!

mine. we took 3 cars and i was the quietest... other cars were a cavalier with 2 sx 12s and 2 powerbass 2kw subs (147.4) and a hundayi elantra with a wall and 4 sx 15s poweres by a crossfire V4000d wired at 4 ohms.... amp kept on shutting off because of low voltage with 3 batteries (2 in the back) 153.#

Im unsure of this car doing anything really loud because of its flexing. But so far your in the mid to high 140's so thats good. The glass and my whole roof flex so bad more than my Saturn ever did.

ya they move quite a bit... and my dome light is now broken.... But i need to remove the headliner and put some second skin. I really wish they would have came out with the second skin "steel skin" they have been working on. but lux liner pro and motor mat pro came first

Well since you guys are experienced with this car in comps let me ask you this
I went to a few comps last year (I've been doing it for 5 years+) and I didnt have very favorable results, Only getting 137.something which the exact same setup in the cav was about 6db better. I know the car acoustics are different and I also dont have any soundproofing, still running off the stock head unit
I'm thinking maybe because im running off the stock headunit im not getting as good a signal into the amps as what I would running true RCAs off a aftermarket head unit

Emperor do you have any experience on the removal of the headliner? i hadnt gotten there yet but yes i got to do something up there even my sunroof motor or parts to it is moving and making all kinds of noise lol.
Rodimus, yes you may have a bit more power out of your amp if you have a little more voltage going in as your signal but you can still do this with out changing the hu out.
And from one car to the other yes expect to see a difference like you discovered thats normal like you said with the cars acoustics
