Question Audio System for Christmas... HELP...

Well my dad mentioned to me today that he is looking into getting me a gift card for an audio system for Christmas. Now, knowing my dad, it will probably be somewhere around $500-750. If you think that's not enough please don't bash me... tell me like a mature person would.

So, ultimately I would like a receiver, subs, and an amp. Keep in mind I LOVE hip-hop and bass and have the upgraded Pioneer system... don't know if that matters... So my question is:

what should I get for the money?

I've been looking around at "various stores" and Cruthfield.com but don't know what to go with at all. Anything helps but please don't bash me. Thanks.

my suggestion is that whatever you get will you please match it...alpine subs=alpine amp, kicker subs=kicker amp, etc...especially if ur getting the stuff brand new...these companies make their products to sound at there peak together

yep will do... does it matter that I have the upgraded pioneer system..? If I'm not changing out the rear deck/door/tweater speakers, should I still stay with Pioneer..? How bout the Headunit..?

Dont get a gift card, get him to get you the cash. your best bet is to buy the stuff from amazon.com.

that is where i got almost all my stero stuff an i couldnt find a better price anywhere. my system all together costed about 3k. if i bought it in best buy or circuit city it would of costed close to 5.5k

dont get some lame ass system from bestbuy, like the "west coast custom" subs. Find a good deal on amazon. and dont go cheap on wires either, that is one of the most important parts. Get Rocksford Fosgate install kit. It has everything you need all in one package and they make some of the best wires.

you dont really have to match anything. If so i would be fucked. But seriously as long as you match your RMS numbers on the amp and subs your fine

Hey man. Cruthcfield is actually costing you more money than necessary. Send me a PM telling me what you're looking for in a system. (Ex. big bass, sound quality, etc.) I guarantee you I can get you more bang for your buck than going through crutchfield.
