Aux jack on a '05?

Ok, I have a 05 ss/sc and want a aux jack like the '07s.

I know very little about this kinda stuff, But from what i have read it seems you cant swap radios.

So what is the easiest/cheapest way to do this?

You don't have to if you don't want you can keep the stock radio go to an audio shop and ask how much it will cost I think it should be around 50 to 80 dollars I asked cause im going to do it lol

the aftermarket aux jack module is probably going to run you something like 120-150. they are normally pretty expensive

i think you can get the 07 h/u to work but i think you have to cut and splice the harness

nope there is no aux input of any kind on most stock radios other then the jacks in the front. For those that dont have said jack the module acts like your sat radio tuner box and gives you the aux that way. So its expensive because its really not "simple"

it is almost impossible but not because of the DIC. because all new gm radios are programed with theft protection software that memorizes the VIN along with a bit of communication with the car itself via gm lan. basically the old and new stereos use different codes to do this so even splicing the wires and all that doesn't work

wire colors should be the same even for pioneer systems. interesting. gm is normally the best at keeping amp wires the same but speaker wires are always the grn/lt grn, blue lt blue, tan/gry and yel/brn
