axxess aswc steering wheel control module problem

im hoping someone here can help me with this. ive got an 05 ss/sc and have had a pioneer 940mp in it for a few years, along with the pac module and swi module for steering wheel controls (infered version as the deck doesnt have a remote input) and everything had been working fine. ive now changed my deck out for a pioneer avh8400, and ive changed to an axxess aswc module for steering wheel controls.

im having problems getting the aswc to work correctly. i followed the program instructions, it auto detected and some buttons worked. i went through the manual key asign portion and i can get everything to work correctly except the volume control. the volume up works as it should, however the volume down button turns the volume up as well. i went through the programming a number of times with no change, have gone through the troubleshooting and cant come up with anything. i did use the correct wire, i have rechecked that. im certain its not the steering wheel controls themselves, they worked just fine with the old swi module.

anyone had a similar issue, or know what i need to do to fix it?

no the module is pretty straight forward. it has 12 wires on it, however use depends on vehicle. it has a ground, switch power (hooked to pac interface module acc. voltage output), and the steering wheel control input (from the wheel) goes to the yellow/green wire on pin 3 of the module. plug the mini stereo connector into the deck and thats it.

like i said, it all works, except for volume down.

hmm try contacting metra support??? the only reason i asked is because ive seen a similar issue on PAC swi interfaces but they have a wire thats looped into the unit that needs to be cut for certain vehicles.

Sharkey- Did you ever get an answer to this question?
I'm having what sounds like the EXACT same problem (Volume Down button making the volume go up).
