Alpine Type-X or MMATS Juggernaut. I like JL's but in my opinion they are over rated. Also way too damn expensive. If you have the money for the JL go for the MMATS instead. Just my opinion.

yea besides the price I think JL Audio W7 is the loudest that I know of.. but I can sell your 2 12" L7's in a dual box and everythign for less than it will cost you to buy 1 12" JL Audio W7

No way there is definatly louder then W7's. They are pretty good quality and they are up there with the best. But for the price you pay you could get louder and better then a JL. IMO they are a little over priced..... I have a 12 inch memphis mojo and that seems to do the trick for me haha. ask Mercury how loud it is

Well there is a fine line between "Loudness" and "Quality"

The JL w7 is on both sides!

JL W7 DVC is probably the best sounding longest lasting most durable 12" out there. This is why it costs so much. My friend has 2 10" JL W3's in his GTO. His fender walls flex when the bass hits. This is with the bass setting at -2 and the volume at 25 out of 30. So you could save money and go W3 instead of W7 and with 10 inches. You get one 10" JL W3 w/ a 800 watt RMS amp and trust me that will be all you need. Remember over powering your subs is not a bad idea. Under powering ruins SW'S

It all depends what sound you want and what kind of set-up your doing. The 12 is only as good as the amp pushing it. I personally like the kicker solo-x 12. I have one on a 2500watt kicker amp it is serious! W-7 is also a good choice for that level sub. MMATs also has some serious subs, but the car shows that i went to are showing the majority of vehicles with Kicker installs. Remember whatever sub you go with you'll need a powerful enough amp to move it properly.

Those RE's are nice and can be loud. I know a few people just running one of them. head over to www.jbody.org and goto the audio forums they are talked about a lot over there.

I have been in stereos for quite a long time. If you want LOUD go with a Cerwin Vega Stroker. They are the loudest speaker I have ever heard in my life. The other companies that have been mentioned are all good and in fact probably sound better and will cost far less. Just my .02

Alpine type x is great for the money, 1/3 of the jl w7........ also the w7's weight like 65 pounds a piece...... not going to help the performance and gas mileage will decrease.....

You should see the pros move. They have a 3" peak to peak throw. I saw four 15's in this little car and when this guy played something the door window tracks jumped out from the car at least an inch. I thought the door was going to come flying off. My loudest ever was 146 DB about six years ago and would not even compare to what that car did.

Not that I would ever put this kind of stuff in my car, I still think it's cool as hell. Good luck!
