I agree about sonicelectronix, they had a Arc 4100 amp for 250 or so when they retail for 520. Even my local dealer was blown away because his cost is like 400, so its below dealer cost.

LOL I would, but our only local dealers here are Best Buy and Circuit City. lol And there's one other place, but they are selling some old-ass stolen Orion H2's for more then the newest model (which is still old, I think lol)

careful tho, they do have some notoriously shitty brands on tht site, always research a product before buying. They do have some good prices tho

I just looked there, and they are more pricey than SonicElectronix. Not bad prices, but when they have the deck I want for an extra $90, I'll stick with Sonic. lol Especially, since I originally wanted the AVIC-Z2, and its $1149 at Sonic, compared to $24 at Circuit City

this is gonna get me in trouble here i'm sure-- but just watch what you are buying and from where. alot of the higher end companies do not sell online anywhere. Arc and Zapco immediately come to mind. have a problem with it and they won't even touch it. sooo if you ever decide to shell out big bucks for quality stuff think twice and maybe give guys like Emperor the chance to keep his job! I've seen people get Focal components with hacked off serial #'s too. so if you have a problem with a piece of gear i hope you trust the place that sold it to you at less then dealer cost to make good on your service. (hmmm i wonder)

I would buy, in a heartbeat, from local shops.... Cept when the only local shops are CC and BB... And I don't feel like drving 300+ miles to Denver just to look around. Thats why I prefer to buy online.

If I had anyone around here, that wasn't corporate owned, didn't rip you off, and actually knew what they were doing, I'd be all for it!! As far as warranties though, the site we have been talking about is really good about acknowledging them. My friend got the wrong steering wheel control harness and they were cool about exchanging it. Thanks for the tip though, since some online "shops" are a waste when it comes to them making $$.

that's cool, and good to here. I'm lucky enough to have 2 dealers local that sell diff. gear. some places tho online are authorized dealers for different brands, and have better prices than the full MSRP that say a crutchfield will charge

Yeah...I checked on some things at Crutchfield when I was really thinking to get the D3...my site was cheaper than Crutchfield, even with the $200 rebate. lol I just hope everyone in here knows not to buy direct from the manufacturer's online store.
