Good luck, I know what note your talking about and I can get it to play but its not that loud imo.

Going with a bigger box wont always help, you need a box thats built around your specific sub. What kinda sub do you have and whats your box type?
On a mono amp the crossover poin is where the sub stops playing at the high end like 100hertz. What your looking for is the infrasonic filter some amps have a variable one it some dont. This is the low end its around 20 or 15hertz.

what subs and amps do you have, alot of them wont play notes below 30-40 hertz, where the notes your talkin about may be 20 hertz. May need better subs and and amp along with a ported box to get the low low notes

Really depends on the way the box is tuned if ported and if that note is lower than 22hz, your more than likely not gunna hear it very much.

Also depends on the subs you have.

you probably have a prefab ported box tuned high as hell and no subsonic filter. a sealed box should play it not necessarily loud but even a sealed 8 you should be able to hear it. but a ported box tuned to high would do exactly what your describing. and turning it up when its moving like that is a good way to blow your sub up

any sub will play that note in the right box. If u have a slot ported box tuned around 27 to 32 hrtz with the corect amount of cubic feet for your sub. Then you should have no prblem hearing it.

forget about a ported box. ive had 3 different types of subs and all of them hit that note. get a sealed box. when that note hits in my car u cant here nothing but the base even if someone is screaming at the top of there lungs.

you can't you either need a new sub or a new amp or both for the most part the box won't stop you from hitting notes (just quality of notes) so if it is not quite loud enough i would say you can't hit them..... most 2 ohm subs can hit those notes so maybe you just have to wire your system down to 2 ohms..... and all 1 ohm setups can hit those it is just a matter of making sure that you subs/amp/wireing/battery/car(yes if you have a good enough system you will need to replace/tighten parts of your car and in some cases i've seen things will still break/come off an example of this is my friend has an 08 ss trailblazer and his mirrors rattled off...) so you need to make sure you are ready for the bass.....

i used to have a Blazer and was driving and i had a base test cd on, the rear view mirror rattled off and hit me in the hand. after awhile i started looseing plastic panaling. ur definatley write about making sure everything is tight that mirror hurt when it hit me. i almost threw it out the window.

Have a box built to the specs of the subs.
The volume of the box is only have of it, the area/lenth/placement of the port is key to tunning it.
Don't go to a big name store, go to a local shop and heve them do it, a proper built/tuned box will allow you to hit the notes you want and them some you never knew existed.
2 G5's and a T1000bd, yeah the only post you should be making should start something like " So I almost puked on the way home today...."
I don't work in the industry but if I had to guess the box should only run you a couple hundred bucks, give or take. If its made of MDF, Fiberglass and you should at least triple that #.
If you have the $ go with fiberglass, it looks awsome, but the wood will do a similar job but just not look as nice. all depends on the builder as well

i dont have the $$$ for fiberglass, but your right it looks alot better than wood, and audio express is the only real car audio store we have around here and they want 200 for sealed and 300 for a ported box. do you guys think thats a fair deal? seams a little pricey to me

i've got a 12" kicker cvx in a custom made ported box being driven by a 1200 watt mtx thunder amp and it hits that note nice the only thing is that i noticed that "I Put On" song is lower volume then the rest of my songs on the cd so i have to turn the volume up a little more to have the same volume as other songs.

possibly a lil higher for more SPL like 35 but 33 would let you hit the lows a little better

something liek 35-38 is the best compromise for volume(spl) and sound quality

The specs from your subs say you need 1.3 cubic feet, a 3x11" port tuned to 33hz
That being said, my subs were optimal at 33hz as well but I had them go with 36hz
