The 05's didn't have Bluetooth so you must have an aftermarket HU
Unless you just bought an 09 where Bluetooth is an option from the dealer.
In any case if it detects your moms phone then chances are its the phone, one way to tell for sure is pair it up with something else, like a PS3 or a Laptop, if it doesn't pair then its the phone if it does then its not compatable with your radio.
Some phones are not visable by default, its a security thing, make sure you go into your Bluetooth options and make the phone "visable" it usualy only does it for a minute or two so keep that in mind

I have an aftermarket radio in my car and I tried connecting it to my laptop and it doesn't connect. I hate this phone. I got it the week and came out and im on my second one and it's terrible. I've had nothing but problems. Its a cool phone in all but, it's a peice!! I think ill take my phone in and have them try and connect it.
Thanks guys!!
