true, but any system is hackable, im pretty sure a remote start systme would be almost as easy to hack, since they both use the same kind of bypass for the factory ignition/security system, in fact, seeing as this sytem has the whole starter relay and whatnot, i think this would actually be more dificult to bypass.
Unless of course you meant hack the system, by somehow copying the rfid signal from the transponder and then using that to gain acess and start the car, in which case i really dont know much about that, but on the site it says the same uses some kind of frequency hopping tech or something like that that makes that impossible

If someone wants to steal your car, and you are physically not there to pull a gun on the idiot... you are not going to stop them no matter what system, and what precautions you put in. Well maybe putting a couple of those parking clamps on your tires might deter them to just pick an easier car.

Like zay said if anything I think his push button starter would slow them down cause they would have something else to deal with.

I thought the 09s had a chip in the key that also was another anti theft feature. I am guessing if they can bypass that, then there isn't much they wouldn't be able to bypass also.

yea, all of them 06 and newer have the hybrid passkey/passlock style security system, that requires the presence of the key with the rfid tag in it, as well as the use of the correct key to generate the right resistance codes for the passlock system.

yea, although it woudnt be very hard to bypass that if you wanted to

I see no harm in bumping a thread others could take interest in as well. Plus I dont recall asking for your remark so keep it to yourself if you dont have anything constructive to say.

i would really like to know as well if anyone has any idea on how to easily disable the steering wheel lock. although if its mechanical, i really have no clue, cuz i looked into how its done on corvettes, and it requires dissasembling the whole steering wheel, airbag thing to get to the lock.
But if anyone knows what kind of lock it is and how to disable/bypass it please chime in here

ok are you ready.

take your steering wheel column panels off.
there will be a solenoid
take a wire tie and tie it shut
now you can turn the wheel whenever and where ever you want.

I have one question I'm surprised that no one has asked. My mom has an altima that has push start. Now on the altima you have to press the brake first then push the button. If you don't press the brake and push the button, it goes into acc. How do you get into acc. with this set-up?

With an RFID , yeah , you steal the RFID tag ,, otherwise please enlighten me how truckers hack the RFID system for weigh stations.

RFID is the the same system they use in the new "quick swipe credit cards" or quick pay, etc , pets get RFID injected under the skin.

These aren't flash drives , you can't just "copy" the RFID without the encryption key to copy it. You can't flash an RFID without the encryption to write it either .

I looked into this when i had my srt4 a couple years back, and one problem people were having with these were some people would sit around and grab signals whenever your keys were close to the car, aka at home.. has this problem been fixed with the new systems? I know my buddys boss had a problem with his rx8 (factory keyless start/entry) and it keeps going off with some people using their key fobs..

If alot of the problems that used to be there when i was looking back earlier have been fixed then this would def be a nice idea!
