if you like the user interface on 1980 ibm computers you will love boss

take my advice and just stop thinking about it right now. the 3100dvd isnt much more expensive then the boss and is well worth it

lol the only thing i didnt like about the pioneers is dont they have that built in gyroscope that makes you have it wired to the parking brake, and if its flipped down it totally voids the warranty or something like that?

what? gyro has to do with navigation and the 3100 isnt motorized. but even if it was theres no way to void the warranty by leaving it open (im assuming u mean that) although the only reason a double din opens is so you can put i cd in there so leaving it "open" is sorta stupid

i went to a local install shop because i dont know **** about installing stereos, and i told the guy i was thinking about the pioneer 3100 dvd and i told him i would want it wired so the parking brake did not have to be pulled to watched dvds, so he said he could do it but the pioneers have a gyroscope sensor built in on the back that detects even if your car is moving 1 mph that it automatically shuts off all video functions, so he said they flip the switch down, but it voids all warrantys

did he pull some sales b.s?

so the gyroscope has nothing to do with the video functions of the pioneer?

no that unit doesnt even have a gyro. if you looking at navigation units they have gyros and most of the time would lock out video while moving. otherwise no gyro. all u need is a switch
