Buying new front speakers today, should i order from crutchfield?
I have the front speakers in my 06 ls cobalt that the speaker itself is connected with the bracket.
If i order my speaker from crutchfield, itll be more epensive but i can get free speaker brackets that otherwise seem to cost 20 bucks.
what you guys think?
also
infinity reference 6032cf 6 1/2 for 80 dollars
or apline type S for $100.
or kenwood kfc-1662s for 50 bucks.
or what other recomendations you guys have? i'm using a kenwood mp242 deck. I will not go through the time to hook an amp to the front speakers, my rears and sub is another question.
i was thinking just paying 50 bucks for some kenwood speakers in the front since without using an amp and just using my deck i don't see the point in spending a lot; i don't think i'll be missing out on much.

I became a fan of Crutchfield. I ordered front and back speakers and a head unit with all adapters from various online stores, based mostly on price. Then when I needed a subwoofer and enclosure, I called Crutchfield, I must admit, with the intention to get free advice and then buy from somewhere cheaper. I called them after 9PM on a weekday and got the friendliest and most knowledgeable guy you can imagine on the line.
They include a manual on how to mount the sub in the enclosure, and their price was pretty close to other outfits. That made me decide to buy from them. When I looked for a coupon right before checking out, I found one for $20 and ended up paying less then I would have paid anywhere else, also because they offered free shipping. Whenever you buy something online, google "coupons <website>". It has literally saved me hundreds of $$$ over time!

But what about my speaker fit, i'd have to buy a new speaker bracket that's 21 dollars, unless i cut out my original. Also i imagine the references vs kappas unless i use an amp i wouldn't notice the difference.
Ok figured out i can just buy the brackets for 15 bucks from crutchfield, they are scosch. or 21 from ebay.
what about the 63.9 kappas vs the 62.9?

yeah i figured out i'm going to cut them, now it's just deciding which speaker to order from amazon since they are sooo much cheaper .
I really like the new 63.9 kappas, but i just don't see getting one unless i hook it up to an amp, my fronts will just be hooked to the deck, it's my rears that'll have an amp running to them.

If your only going to be amping 2 speakers and a Sub, you should be amping the fronts. They are the most important speakers with regards to the sound in the car. (I amp all 4 and run all the same speakers for the 4, but am thinking about running 2wice the power to only the fronts.)
