can i do this

my driver side speaker works off and on i dont think its blown but can u just cut off the connector and wire in aftermarket speakers will this hurt any thing

yea u can do that but dont cut the conectors simply pull them off the terminals and leave them hanging

what you mean pull it off do you mean the plug part on the wires and then do what with the wires

do i hook up the stock wires to the new speaker and i heard boltin them stright to the door is a bad idea what else would i need to mount them where can i get them

i think he means just replacing them with aftermarket speakers. to do this all you would need to do is

1.unplug positive and negative wires
2. unscrew and pull out old speaker
3. put in new speaker and tighten down.
4. plug in positive and negative to new speaker

done. it cant get any simpler
