How to wire 2 dual 2ohm subs to 2 ohm for amplifier - YouTube

ok so I found this video and i knew how to do all this but only on a mono amp....he said you could just run it bridged on a 2 chan amp and i though but that would run 3k watts and then i though ok but its running to both subs so it would actually be 1500watts a peice like it should be right?

i just trying to figure out how imma run 1500 watts to each sub on a 2 ohm base becuase they are 750rms and 1500w max aand i want the most outta my bass

would i just run each sub on its own channel but hook their own dual voice coils together and then run a parralle off each sub to thier own channel ?

First off, the amplifier in question is never going to output as much power as claimed- so just forget about that for a minute.

Second- exactly what subwoofers are you going to be using?

For what it's worth- I run a 12" dual voice coil Cerwin Vega woofer in my car getting about 100 watts per coil- so 200 watts RMS to the woofer. That's real wattage. It sounds pretty damn good if you ask me. No real need for more power, especially since my woofer has a very high sensitivity. (Needs less power to be loud)

This is coming from a guy who has and uses regularly up to 3 15" woofers and 4 12" woofers in his apartment at any given time with well over 1,000 watts. (All Cerwin Vega home audio speakers with exception of the 15" Stroker custom home theater sub)

Back on topic lol

yup thats what im saying. the only options you have wiring it correctly get half power from the amp. and sadly one of those subs can handle more then the amp can make at full power. It might be worth it to just run one sub at full power if you plan on keeping the amp (which is a crap amp honestly)

yea i just talked to custom enclosure and they said they could wire it up and make 2ohm but it would just pop the amp eventually......shew that sucks but they mentioned a planet audio they had for 500 bucks that would work these subs for what there designed for....thats a big let down but i shoulda looked into more before i purchased it......

probably screwed into the panel under the steering wheel. if the knob comes apart you can drill a hole in the shifter panel for a very clean look sorta like this (just fyi this has been redone so it doesnt look retarded anymore and if you plan on doing it you cant put the knob on the right hand side like this pic)
